Homemade Poori

Ingredients:
- 1 cup gluten-free flour
- 1/4 cup coconut flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 cup warm water (adjust as needed)
- Oil for frying (coconut oil or avocado oil)
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Mixing bowl
- Rolling pin
- Deep frying pan
- Slotted spoon
- Paper towels
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free flour, coconut flour, salt, turmeric powder, and cumin powder.
- Gradually add warm water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. Adjust water as needed.
- Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth, then cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).
- On a clean surface, roll each ball into a small circle, about 4-5 inches in diameter, using a rolling pin.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully slide in one rolled poori at a time.
- Fry until the poori puffs up and turns golden brown, about 30 seconds on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
